I dont know about anyone else, but something struck me when i went to go see the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie.
Before the movie began, previews were shown as usual. Most of them were boring and didnt grab my attention, but then one started playing that caught my eye. It starts out with a young boy flipping and spinning a staff. He hits the ground and air shoots towards some candles and they flicker out. At first, i didnt realize what this movie was and i thought it was just a really strong little kid. But then, something terrible and traumatic happened that showed me just how far Hollywood has fallen to entertain the public.
The young boy is in a brown cloak and turns towards the camera with his head down. He slowly looks up, oh and while all this is happening, gunshots/cannon fire is heard from outside this cave/temple? im not quite sure what it was to be honest. Anyhow, the boy then slowly takes off his hood, only to reveal, can you guess it??
A BIG ASS ARROW ON HIS FOREHEAD
YES, you heard it ladies and gentlemen, they are making a real life movie out of the Nickolodeon series of Avatar: The Last Airbender. We all know that most movies that start out as cartoons never make it in real-life movies. Dragon Ball Z is most likely gonna be super shitty, considering the actor is white and not asian...
But i find it quite sad that Hollywood is now catering to the younger generation by making real-life movies from cartoons, rather than the much more popular (and better way in my opinion) of making animations like Wall-E and what not.
Just wanted to see if this was bothering anyone else, im just shocked that a movie was even considered for that god-awful excuse for a show. I honestly am considered too 'old' for cartoons, but i still watch the good ones: Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Might Mouse, and so on. The only new one i find remotely entertaining is Spongebob, but even that gets annoying after awhile.
Ok im done ranting, now it your guys' turn to express how you feel on this subject
