Hey guys, not sure if this is the right topic, but anyway.
I'm trying to build a new PC for gaming and recording. Are these good specs?

-Motherboard: MSI ATX Z97-G45 Gaming Box
-Processor: Intel Core i5 4690K 6MB 3.5GHz
-RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
-Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970

Thanks in advance!

Why would you go for Haswell when Skylake, specifically the i5-6600k, has been released? Since this is a completely new build, why not go with the superior option? Also, unless you plan to overclock, which I assume you would if you are building it yourself, then the K chips are just extra wasted cash.

Thank you, man! Apparently, the 6600 isn't available anywhere here, so do you think the 4690 (no K) is a good option?

I got this card recently - I think it's the best bang for the buck that you can get right now!

Yes, I've heard I can run games on ultra/very high with ease with the GTX 970. But it's pretty expensive here, I'm saving every penny I can to buy it hahaha
