So I'm recording my Sonic Rush series by using XSplit and Fraps recording the XSplit video. But, for some reason, when, I look at the video sometimes, it flashes constantly. I've had to re-record several times because of this. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can't tell until I finish the recording.
Is there a better way to record Desmume for free, in at least 720p, and for free? Or, is there a way to fix this permanently?

Why are you using both XSplit and Fraps? You only need 1 program to record. Trying to record a video of a video will only cause problems and reduce the quality.

Xsplit has its own video recorder although I'm not sure it you have to pay for it.  If so, you can try OBS.  It's a similar program to Xsplit and it's free.

There is a free option for XSplit now that has the local recording in tact. Only thing is the free version only records in 30 FPS, that's really the only detriment to it. Still, it's got way more support than OBS and works great.

Because using just XSplit slows the game and recording down a lot. And Fraps doesn't work with Desmume on Windows 8

Using Fraps after you use XSplit isn't going to make the video any better.

Thanks, this works great! I'll use this from now on!
