Hey everybody,

this past hour I've been messing around with watermarking videos, and I've noticed that there is no real way for me to do it without sacrificing video quality (I don't have video editing software that supports HDMI settings).

How do you guys add watermarks to your videos, and what programs do you use?

YouTube's branding feature won't work for me either for whatever reason...

Anyone know of a quick and free solution?
I'm not exactly in a position that allows me to throw out huge sums of money for a license for some software...

I use Sony Vegas to add watermarks as well as edit my videos.  It's very expensive, though.

VirtualDub may be able to do it.

In the past, I used to make the watermarks inside of Sony Vegas. However, nowadays I use Paint.Net so I can add effects like shading, dual color, better shadows, etc. After that I save it as a PNG and then have it be it's own video track on the video that will be going up. Another reason why I started doing this method is because Sony Vegas has a nasty habit of not recognizing certain fonts when I type them, such as the Final Fantasy font or the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus fonts.

Yeah, Sony Vegas, I figured as much...

VirtualDub may be able to do it.

I'm going to try that, though I don't have much hope for that being a viable solution...

Well, looks like I gotta save up for some software after all  Sad

For an editor you can always go with this as an editor: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Movie-Studio-Platinum-Suite/dp/B008MIMIY8/ref=pd_cp_sw_0
That's the same editor I've been using for years now and it works great. Can render up to 1080p, can render in 60 FPS, and allows all sorts of things. Plus it is a lot cheaper than how it was when I first bought it.
As for a way to make the watermarks, Paint.Net is absolutely free to download and use.

Making the watermark isn't an issue at all, just applying it to the video  Tongue

Thank you very much for the recommendation Roxas!
I find this to be a very affordable price, and so I have added it to my wishlist for later.
I'll just go ahead and trust you with this one  Wink

Oh, and VirtualDub doesn't do it for me, but thanks anyway, Maceman!

If you mean attaching it to the video, I can show you how with some screenshots if you want. You can also do an audio mark by saying that the video is brought to you by Game Anyone at the beginning.

Nah, it's fine, I know how to do that.

But now that you mention audiomarks; those seem to be my best option at the moment.
Yeah, I'll go with audiomark until I can get the watermark thing going sometime in the future.

Thanks for the tip!

If you make videos on PC, you can add watermark through Bandicam directly when you recording video.
