Dom's death in Gears of War 3 with it's a mad world instrumental playing was the saddest thing I've ever saw

That has to be the girl in the last of us who dies in her dads arms. I didn't cry but it did hit me hard as it was a very will done part and set it to be a very good game. Smiley

To us the saddest moment is in Final Fantasy VII. When Aeris died we were shocked. FF7 is our first rpg and our first time playing we always had her on our team. So when she got axed off everyone else except Barret and Cloud were under leveled. Made the northern crater that much tougher.

As ridiculous as it may sound, the thing that was hardest for me to swallow was just trying to play Metal Gear Solid 4.

You play through the suffering of a rapidly aging Snake, and you just feel that you want to stop and give the poor guy a rest.
The fight with Ocelot was hard too because at the end of the day, you see it as two old guys who don't have much of a reason to live for anything anymore.

It's such an utterly depressing game.
