I think he's referring to in game achievements in the form of skill points, ribbons, etc. Like how the PS2 versions of Ratchet and Clank have Skill Points that function like trophies or like how in Hryule Warriors there are ribbon awards.

If this is what were are talking about, then maybe. The problem is there is no available database of this info, at least not to my knowledge - so we would need to enter all the information and create all the images manually.

What I have been wanting to do for a while is to assign certain users as an expert on a specific game. This particular user would have full editing ability for that game, and could manage all the information we have for it, including adding achievement data. For example, a trusted user who is an expert on Sonic knowledge would be the manager for Sonic games on the site. This could work because some people obviously know more about certain game franchises than myself, and could manage the games better - but it may be difficult to set up and to find the 'experts'.

Alternatively, we could open up achievement data to submissions/edits for all users, and just have the edits approved before they go live.

This idea sounds good so I'd like to add to it, like instead of specific games how bout genres? Like for example
rynogt4 could be the Expert of the Racing Genre given his extensive guides and depth of said genre.

Or something like Roxas1359,xXExceedEdgeXx are Expert's in the RPG Genre seeing as we have extensive knowlege in said genre and particular knowledge of the Kingdom Hearts Series as a mainstream franchise title.

Just bouncing the idea around

I'll have to play around with it a bit - first I need to make the achievement data editable directly from the site.

I'm kinda hijacking this topic with this new idea, but it could lead to the original idea in the topic.  Embarrassed

I added Roxas as expert on these games:
http://www.gameanyone.com/PS2/Ratchet_and_Clank.html
http://www.gameanyone.com/WiiU/Hyrule_Warriors.html

And I added ExceedEdge as expert on these games:
http://www.gameanyone.com/PS2/Kingdom_Hearts.html
http://www.gameanyone.com/PS2/Kingdom_Hearts_II.html

Currently only one user can be marked as an expert for each game.

What this does currently is let you access the edit page for these games (by clicking on Edit which should show up now). It allows you to change basic info about the game, as well as add difficulty and mode details. All changes are logged to defer malicious edits.

What we can do is add more things to this such as adding/editing/removing achievements, dlc, compilation data, and whatever else comes to mind. This stuff currently isn't easily editable, but I can work on this if there interest.

I'm still not 100% sure what these skill points are. Are they like achievements for games that don't have official achievements? Do they have a title and an associated image and description?
