Title says all, as I'm wondering which is best, because I'm trying to play SMW ROM hacks that I downloaded from SMW Central with ZSNES, and I can't do such thing.

ZSNES and SNES9x are the best ones out there.
ZSNES should work just fine for SMW hacks.

Have you applied the hack correctly? (usually an .ips file, that's the patching file containing the hack data)

Use auto-IPS patching if possible, and I recommend running romhacks under bsnes

I finally figured everything out, and now I can play ROM hacks. I've tested a SMW ROM hack with ZSNES, and it worked.

ZSNES accepts most hacks because it's a really inaccurate emulator.

Accurate emulators on other hand (like the bsnes based emus) are very picky and most hacks won't load.
