So I was thinking of producing watermarked versions and uploading those instead of simply linking to the youtube versions.

I already know how to watermark a video.

Is there any guidance on what to use though? Like, what size on the screen, where on the screen do you want it, what font, is there a pre-made one to use?

Is it just a case of whatever I come up with should be fine?  I prefer logos and icons to just a text url, could I use something or make something like that?

Take a look at some of the videos, but it's up to your preference where on the screen do you want the watermark, size, font.. And there is no pre-made one.

It's all up to personal preference.  Watermarks generally should be large enough to be seen but small enough so it didn't get in the way of the content of the video.   A lot of people use fonts that are similar to the game being played, and others, like me, just use a font we like.  I kind of prefer the watermark to be on the bottom-right when possible, but again, that's entirely up to your preference.

Here's a screenshot of how I watermark my videos:

Font types should vary by game, and size, as some become much harder to read the smaller they get. Positioning is tricky, and *should* vary between games. The corners are usually the best, but sometimes you might need to put it at the top/bottom center. Just watch your video, beforehand, and then you'll be able to make a good decision.

I like it, although "Anyone" might be a little too small.  I actually first read it as "Game?" since I originally didn't see "Anyone".

Overall you get my corn of approval.

Yeah, I was a little worried about that too, but I think it looks absolutely fine full screen.

I was tempted to put a little animation on it, but I don't want to muck around with it for ages.

Time to encode some video!

I prefer to letterbox the upper side and add a black bar where I could add the watermark; been doing that since Thundercade
