Hi there......

Hi all this is maybe a no brainer question, but I am running into an issue with recording PC gameplay. I am looking to avoid the slowdown and the bottlenecking that comes from using screen capture software. So I was wondering if there is a way to off load the recording to my second computer. I figured I'd clone the video out on the gaming computer, and one of the clone feeds goes the the recording computer. Issue is finding something that can do it. Seeing all graphics cards now are Digital video only.

So any advice in this case, what hardware should I use. Anything you can do to point me in the right direction would help.

Thank you are.

You can use a capture card to record through HDMI. I hear the Elgato Game Capture HD works, but I haven't done it myself.

As far as mirroring the screen from one computer to another, no idea.

Personally I use the AverMedia LiveGamerPortable.
It works quite well in my opinion.

I use AM LiveGamer HD, it works like shit in my opinion :\ For your own sake and money, avoid AM LiveGamer like plague, I have 3x more work when I use it and I'm very disappointed in everything it does (video is OK, but it still has problems in some cases, for example some strategy games or rpg, things get blurry as hell because of the grass, I could ramble a lot about things where it fails horribly). There's no 'good' capture card specifically for PC atm, imo.

If 'ExtremeCap U3?CV710' will have hardware encoding, maybe I'll pick on up, maybe.
