I'm not a fan of war movies, but I do watch one every now and again when a good friend recommends one.
Since I'm not too fond of them I have a hard time picking a favorite, so I'll just name a few.
Rambo 3, Empire of the Sun and Rescue Dawn.
They're not really "war" movies, but they do occur during wars and revolve around them.
