It's widely believed to be one of the best video editing software out there, on par, and some say better than Sony Vegas. I've tried it, and I'm not fond of the interface. It has a HUGE learning curve, but with time, it could be an amazing investment.

I'm using a Dazzle DVC 100 (Red) with Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate to record the gameplay and edit videos.
My computer is a HP G60 Notebook running Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.
I think I have the correct rendering settings to make the Dazzle produce nearly HD quality videos.
My computer is not the best so it has poor rendering times and my internet is so slow it takes almost a whole day to upload a video to YouTube.
But hey, At least I try!   Cheesy

I just recently figured out what was causing my render time (2 1/2 hours for a 15 minute video) to be so horrendous. Apparently I had set the videos to be 59.94 fps, which is completely unneccessary. Now that I've switched to 29.97 fps, my render time is approximately 1 hour for a 20 minute video. Big jump, no change in quality.

Recorder: Dazzle DVC100 (S-Video), Fraps
Recording Program: Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate
Recording Settings (Pinnacle): AVI, 100%, 720x480
Recording Settings (Fraps): Full-Size, 29.97 FPS, Stereo
Editing Program: Sony Vegas Pro 8.0c
Effects: Experimented with Color Corrector for a little bit, but made the image quality worse.
Render Format: Mainconcept AVC (MP4)
Bit Rate: 6-8mbps

Computer Specs:
HP Probook 4520s
Intel Core i3 370m (Dual-Core 2.4GHz)
2GB DDR3 1333 Memory (Upgrading to 4GB soon)
320GB HDD, 250GB External HDD
Intel HD Graphics (inb4killyourself)

Render time for a 30-minute 720p video is about 1 hour, 20-30 minutes.

When my only recording computer was from 2001, I recorded at 1.5mbps at 352x240. Absolutely atrocious.

Recorder: Dazzle DVC 100 S-Video
Recording Program: Pinnacle Studio 12 Plus
Editing Program: Pinnacle Studieo 12 Plus
Pnnacle Effect: Having my username in a nice font in the corner of my vids.
Render Format: .mpeg
Kbits: 10,000 (i think)
Output Resolution: 1080i HD

It looks great, no lag, and loads quickly! Only downside is a 3 minute clip is about 500mb on my HDD. Got a 1TB external for to move huge files over.
