This is what i use for recording walkthroughs:

Recorder: Dazzle/Svideo
Recording Program: Pinnacle Studio 14 HD
Editing Program: Sony Vegas Pro 9.0
Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 Effects: Color Corrector, Color Corrector (Secondary), Color Curves, Sony HSL Adjust, Sony Levels, and Sony Sharpen (500)
Render Format: Sony AVC
Kbits: 10,000

really long time ago. . . like back in October, we're up to 10.d right now.

I'm sorry don't we get free updates man? They sent me an e-mail when d came out (they were on c when I bought it). We better at least get a discount on updates whenever they finally make it to 11. . .I don't want to have my brain telling me that I need to upgrade when I can't afford it >.> (though maybe by the time 11 comes out I'll have a decent job XD)

EDIT: now that I think about it, every software I can think of anything like vegas (office, photoshop and on it goes) makes you buy it again every two to four years and doesn't give you even a discount, so maybe Vegas doesn't. . . and with its cost (it's worth teh cost don't get me wrong, but damn did it hit my wallet hard) that kinda stinks.

My set up is

Recorder: Dazzle DVC 100
Recording Program: Pinnacle Studio 12
Editing Program: Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 (TRIAL)
Sony Vegas Effect: Nothing (but i do stretch the video...it makes it bigger! :O)
Render Format: WMV (tried AVI but meh....idc i like WMV..for some reason)
Kbits: I don't know...sorry guys O.O
