It's time to add some sophistication to this forum.



I love the description of this video: "Gilels attacks the piano like it owes him money." That really is Gilels playing style in a nutshell.

Though I'm also a big fan of modern symphonic music like that, it's not really classical music. Tongue

(Though if you want to get technical, neither is Rachmaninov because he's from the Romantic Period. Wink )

If we're gonna get technical I would like to point out that the Romantic Period was my favorite period of orchestrated music.  Wagner, and Grieg are my favorite of the period.
