He's a producer and director, probably most well known for directing the Transformers movies.

Well, I wouldn't call him a "movie assassin". Michael Bay can direct some awesome movies, especially when they're produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

He can also kill some movies quite brutally.  The remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street was horrible, and I simply do not understand how anyone can like Transformers.  The Bay films, not in general.

I guess it's all about interpretation. You don't like his interpretation of the franchise, that's okay, I do. I have watched the entirety of the G1 series, including that movie and I still enjoy Bay's take. I'm weird like that.

If not for armaggedon I would say Michael Bay right of the back.

I really don't see all the hate for M. Night. He's alright, but he's certianly not bad.

Quite.  Michael Bay has made some decent films.  The only reason people seem to hate on him, is because they disagree with his take on already established Franchises.  Notably, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Transformers.  I never cared for Nightmare on Elm Street, but the Transformers films are great in my opinion.  I like how he brings the focus of the film to the Humans.  It is our plant that it takes place on.  It should, make the film easier to relate to, tbh.  And I like how it's done.

I don't, however, care for the lead actresses he's put into the series.

Known movie assassin, however is Samuel L. Jackson, lol.  He "photobombs" so many movies.  Doe's a good role half the time.  But the other time, who cares.  he's relatively type-cast though.
