This is just a quick tutorial on how the forum code works if you didn't already know!
Most things you can do have shortcut icons up above your message. ^^
BBC stands for Bulletin Board Code, and is used to change the way your post looks and is organized.
(It is basically a simplified version of HTML coding)

Basics
Code:
To make text bold - [b]*Insert text here*[/b]
To make text italicized - [i]*Insert text here*[/i]
To make text underlined - [u]*Insert text here*[/u]
To make text stricken through - [s]*Insert text here*[/s]
Examples: *Insert text here* *Insert text here* *Insert text here* *Insert text here*

Glow
Code:
[glow=*Insert color here*,*Insert # here*]*Insert text here*[/glow]
The color changes what color the glow is. The number usually changes the size of the glow, but doesn't seem to make a difference on this forum.
For instance green gives this, while blue gives this.

Shadow
Code:
[shadow=*Insert color*,*Insert direction*]*Insert text here*[/shadow]
*At the moment this code does not seem to work.

Marquee
Code:
[move]*Insert text here*[/move]
Example
Preformatted Text and Alignment
Code:
For preformatted text - [pre]*Insert text here*[/pre]
For left aligned text - [left]*Insert text here*[/left]
For center aligned text - [center]*Insert text here*[/center]
For right aligned text - [right]*Insert text here*[/right]
Preformatted Left
Preformatted Center
Preformatted Right
Horizontal Rule, Font Size and Face, and Color
Code:
Horizontal rule - [hr]
Font size - [size=*Insert # here*pt]*Insert text here*[/size]
Font face - [font=*Insert font type here*]*Insert text here*[/font]
Color - [color=*Insert color here*]*Insert text here*[/color]
Horizontal rule is this
The number in font size changes the size, and the font type in font face changes what it looks like. The color... changes the color...
For instance: Size 20, font type Vivaldi, and color purple is this

Youtube Videos, Flash, and Images
Code:
Insert Youtube video - [youtube]*Insert video link here*[/youtube]
[flash=200,200]*Insert file name here*[/flash]
[img]*Insert image link here*[/img]

Hyperlinking, Emails, and FTP
Code:
Hyperlink - [url]*Insert url here*[/url] OR [url=*Insert url here*]*Insert text here*[/url]
Email - [email]*Insert email link here*[/email]
TPF - [ftp]*Insert link here*[/ftp]
Example of the 1st way to hyperlink - http://www.gameanyone.com/ 2nd way - Maceman's Life's Work <-- (You may insert any text you wish there.)

Making a Table
Code:
Table - [table][tr][td]*Insert text here for first row/column*[/td][/tr][/table]
*The table code doesn't really do all that much, and is a bit difficult to explain... (See external links below if you really want to know)

Superscript, Subscript, Teletype, and Code
Code:
Superscript - [sup]*Insert text here*[/sup]
Subscript - [sub]*Insert text here*[/sub]
Teletype - [tt]*Insert text here*[/tt]
Code - [code]*Insert text/code here*
Examples respectively: SuperscriptTM SubscriptExample Teletype
What code does is give you the <?PHP boxes you've seen throughout. You can type code without it having an effect.

Quoting and Lists
Code:
Quote - [quote]*Insert quote here*[/quote] or [quote=*Who you are quoting*]*Insert quote here*[/quote]
Lists - [list]
[li]*Insert first bullet text*[/li]
[li]*Insert second bullet text*[/li]
[/list]
*When quoting a post, just use the "insert quote button" and to make a list longer, just add more li and /li
-Also, most of the above codes can be combined for an added effect. For instance: like this

Additional Things
That just about does it for the main things you can do with easy shortcut icons up at the top of your post. However, there are a few other easy codes.

As you can tell, almost all of the emotes that you can make with text automatically change to the picture emotes. Just use the icons for those. The same applies for the other :*Insert text here*: that have shortcut icons up at the top.

There are actually a few additional codes written in that don't have shortcut icons. These are done by using colons on either side of the word.
The ones I am aware of are:
skorch -
maceman -
dave -
facepalm -
cat -
and : 3 put together is -

^ Haha seems like you get it just fine.

Update for tutorial:
It should be noted that you can change the size of your image by using
Code:
[img width=*insert pixel width here* height=*insert pixel height here*][/img]
You can use one or both of width/height when you do this... thought I'd point this out as it seems to be a reoccurring question.

For instance this smaller image:
Can become this larger image:

Also, try to keep the ratio between the two sizes the same if you want the best quality resize. For instance: this picture was 200x98, so I made it 400x196.
(You can tell what the pixel dimensions are by right clicking the picture, and then clicking "view image info/properties")

Where exactly do we put the code for the pic? In between? Like: img width=500*insert img code*height=500? Or do you put the code before or after?

Even I just confused myself... Roll Eyes
