I'm sure a lot of people on this site have purchased a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii for the Nintendo Wii. Well, I bet you didn't know that you can make your own custom levels for the game with only an SD card!

Here's a tutorial video:

In case you can't see the video, here's a step by step instruction guide:

1. Download the Reggie! Level Editor from here: http://www.rvlution.net/reggie/

2. Download the default levels and textures from this ZIP file and save them wherever you like: http://www.mediafire.com/?tckikwnyykj

3. Download and install Riivolution onto your Nintendo Wii. This can be done with only an SD card as well, and I recommend seeing MrBean35000vr's tutorial on how to do so.

4. Download the NSMB template and save it in a folder called "riivolution" on the root of your SD card (this folder should already be created after you install riivoltuon onto your Wii. Simply save this template to there): http://rvlution.net/wiki/Patch_Templates#New_Super_Mario_Bros._Wii

4. Create your level! Be sure that it has a starting entrance and goal flagpole!

5. Once you've completed your level, save it as an ARC file to the root of your SD card in a folder called "nsmb". Make sure the file name is something like "01-01.arc" (in this case, this would replace level 1-1. See the downloadable default level set to see the level file names).

6. Open up Riivolution on your Wii, load your copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and select the level you saved your custom level to. And you should be all set!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Wow I didn't think you could actually do this stuff xD that's awesome, allthough they really should've put some editor in the game instead.

It can be done, via transfering SD cards from one system to another, they made it so you can load up your own levels onto any Wii system of your choice, all you gotta do is keep it stored on one card, transfer it and load it and boom it's loaded and ready to play.

Reason for editing: Red Text Standing Out Regardless Of Posters Reasons, It STILL stands out.
