A pointless program! It has nothing to do with singing anymore. Its all about politics and neighbouring country voting for each other. Only decent bit about it is/was terry wogan and graham norton taking the piss out off the different countries lol

Seriously, have you been reading the Sun or the Daily Mail because if you actually look at the voting it was a lot less partisan and more to do with "quality" than it had been for about 2 decades as it has steadily been doing for the last few years.

Terry Wogan and Norton as much as i enjoyed them are part of the problem, with the terrible public perception from their voice over. The pair that did the semi final  commentary were far more humorous without touching on the xenophobia that Wogan used to be nor did they sense of entitlement that Norton has.

The UK came last because they sent a truly awful song, so bad that every other entry from the UK even the nul point scoring Gemini had top 100 chart entries. This was the first time that the UK provisioner song did not chart ever. if the UK thought there own song was crap did we really expect the rest of Europe to think otherwise.

If you truly want to know what the rest of Europe all you had to do was look at the half time web cam dance thing. Everyone took it as a piece of fun except the UK who spent their 10 seconds mugging at the camera and acting like a petulant child before wisely being cut away from.

Is that why all the Eastern-European and Asian countries voted for eachother?
Because *quality* was not present!
