Here's a tutorial I made to show you how to record gameplay footage with (or without) commentary, using FRAPS version 3+ and Windows Vista/7.
The methods illustrated here will NOT work for XP users or Fraps version 2.X.X and earlier. I do however touch on how you could achieve the same result if this is the case for you.

Enjoy.

I just wanted to bring up something that was mentioned in the video, but while correct, there is a little more.

The yellow numbers means it recognizes a game.  You point that out.  But there are some games which Fraps CAN record, but doesn't apparently recognize.  One of them, is one I'm recording right now.

Though finding which games do this is more trial and error.  But I did find knowing this, when the game does record, a lot easier than recording with something else, in my opinion.

Thanks for the awesome video Tutorial.

I uselly record then use Windows movie maker, then publish in 720p.
Here an example.

The size is the only issue I can think of with Fraps and that is just a moot point really since movie maker or other programs can compress the file size, the quality video obtained from Fraps is well worth it in the long run.
