I don't know if this one counts but it's what I like to call the circle game.
That is where you have a character run around in circles, normally for a reason (example: gaining magic back in Eternal Darkness). I don't know. I guess a better name would be the Let's Chase Ourselves Game, but the Circle Game is just easier to say.
Horror, RPGs, or Dungeon crawlers are my favorites. With horror though I tend to like the ones where you are left defenseless and have to run and hide lots of the time. RPGs, it's more I like inventive ones with new battle systems I haven't seen. And I'm not really sure why I like dungeon crawlers I just do.
Well, I think I'll divide this into jump scares and general creep factor. I can think of three.
1. Fatal Frame - This one was back during last summer when I was recording this one and I was wandering around doing commentary when I opened the door and they popped the face of a ghost right in front of me. I screamed so loud that the mic cut out on me. Funny as hell for the LP but my poor nerves were frayed.
1. Call of Cthluhu - So my fiancee bought me Call of Cthulhu last Christmas and I boot it up to try out after the start of it not really sure what to expect entirely since I haven't watched an LP of that in ages. I get to the menu screen and I'm like 'Okay, this is cool.' Then, I start hearing the voices on the menu screen, freak out, blubber a little and close it down without even starting.
2. Penubra: Overture - Got this back when I first met my fiancee in person last summer. He was sitting next to me and I began to play. The whole atmosphere of this game is creepy and while I was wandering around I heard something and freaked out whimpering in my fiancee's arms while he laughed and let me quit for a while.
Well, here I finally registered for this site like I probably should have done for a while. Heard about this originally through FrozenFoxy and finally got registered after another few prods. So here I am. Now, I've just got to figure out how all this works. Explore time!
