I just found and tried this script and it works wonderfully!. I have one question though. What do I need to change in order to change the default filepath? I changed for main rendering in Vegas and it automatically applied to the batch script included with Vegas, but not this script.
I'm sure there are better ways, but this what works for me most of the time I have this issue.
I start recording both video and audio before the actual video starts. On the game I have a menu open and when I say I exit the video and start talking. Everything before is deleted in editing. I end the video recording as soon as I finish my outro. In audacity I remove the parts before and after my commentary. In Vegas I line up the ends of my two recordings. Then cut out the part of the video at the beginning before it starts. If things arent in synch, I stretch the video (hold ctrl while dragging it out a bit), sometimes while adding back cut out section. Then I match the ends of the two again. I'll check to see is the two are in synch. If not, I experiment with stretching the video and commentary files until they match each other.
Thats not a bad idea. I did it myself with my Mega Man X LP. If you choose that route I recommend making it something that blends well with your footage or is relevant to your game. Luckily the choice I made was a little of both.
Are you talking about love commentary? If so then its easy. Start recording your mic in audacity before recording your video. When you are ready to start talking give yourself a cue to start talking in your video so you easily synch it in editing. It can be as simple as saying 3 2 1 go and scrapping everything in audio before then.
I'm trying to make an outro for my upcoming LP. I have 2 images with transparent backgrounds I am trying to place on my video. They appear fine during preview but during render and the final product the areas that are transparent have white backgrounds instead of just the images within them. They are in TIFF format. How do I keep the white out?
EDIT: I figured it out. Vegas recognizes the transparency in PNG images
BlackMagic and Dazzle are meant to record from external sources (in our case game consoles), not screen recording. BMI is an incredibly powerful capture card, but requires a very powerful PC and is a bit picky with what hardware it will work with. A simple capture card you can get that's easy on most machines is an EasyCap. For screen recording, some emus have a built-in recorder you can use and there are lightweight program that do the task like camstudio or hypercam.
My recording has black borders that I am trying to remove with Video Event Pan/crop. When I move any of the grid the entire frame shrinks. Way back When I used Vegas 10 this did not happen. When I removed one side of the border only that side side would shrink and the other 3 would remain the same. How I can do this again in Vegas 11?
I haven't been on in couple months. Just recently I signed in again and noticed none of my walkthroughs appear on my profile again. They still appear if I look up the games they are for. How did this happen, and will it be fixed
