That's so funny.  :D I was thinking the same Eminem is really good.
I like the song Stan, that one is kind of special to me.  ;)

If we're talking about lyrcs,Ereez got my vote.His ganre is ''rock-rap'',but,it's still rap,right? :P :D
Also,i would also include Pharoahe Monch and Marchelo (Serbian rapper) there :)
If we're talking about rhytm, then it would be Kanye West or Lil Wayne.

Childish Gambino. Look Him up ;)

But out of the list, Eminem, easily. And I'm insulted that Lil' Wayne is even an option.

Gotta give this one to a personal friend, Xrin Arms. I might be biased, but this guy has traveled all around the U.S. on underfunded tours playing small shows. His music is what keeps him alive. And I find his lyrical content a step up from most rap we have to choose from today. You gotta love those creepy beats.

I'm quite the rap fan these days, well I have been since Lose Yourself really. That's what got me into it. But some people will know that the only reason that Eminem is big is because he listened to Tupac? Was it? His Uncle Ronnie shown him it. Eminem is fantastic. He's my favourite too, but let's be honest, what he's done to rap is bring in all the other wannabes to the game. All the new white (NOT RACIST COMMENT) they frankly suck, he did bring up Yelawolf who has some serious talent, but the rest of them suck. Just wannabes! Kinda pisses me off how people aspire to be like him nowadays. But yeah, Tupac's the best, then LL Cool J possibly Eminem instead and then either after.

The thing why I've said this is that Tupac was the biggest, he didn't go all mad like most these days "bitch, whore" etc etc. He was  a nice rapper, rapping about respecting women and those which live around us. Then some donk went and shot him. Idiot! But Eminem challenged the Stereotypical view of the "Rapper", the mainstream sense of the term was built by Dre with "Afro-American", same in Detroit, he was laughed at in battles. But once he picked the flow? HOLY CRAP! He was mental. Just look at 8 Mile, (loosely based on his past). Then Dre picked him up, made a hugely successful album, became Americas most popular rapper, most selling artist between 2000 and 2010, 2 Top 10 Best selling Albums of all time (5. Encore/6. The Eminem Show), bunch of critisim to the parents of the listeners that claimed him to be a homophobic and a total twat. What? Just because he was different he was singled out, they couldn't see that at the time. He respected the community, much like Tupac, they could of gone huge together.

Eminem had a best friend, Proof, who helped Eminem through the days before he hooked up with Dre. They formed D12 back in 2001 I beleive it was and came up with 2 albums and a succession of hits. Then again, another man from the game was gone, along with the loss of his best friend and a high addiction to prescription drugs he cancelled a European tour and rumours spread that he retired. Then he came back. Different. The Slim Shady side of things was gone, "We Made You" and "3am" contained the last parts of Slim Shady, as they rubbed off. Then after Relapse we seen the "Pre-Recovery" Eminem where he starred on Drake's "Forever", Lil Waynes "Drop The World" and T.I.'s "That's All She Wrote". All three times dropping huge verses that we'd not seen from him yet. Just mental. He's now 40 and still going strong.

He may be the best rapper alive, but without Tupac, we wouldn't of got him!

Long live Eminem!

Nirvana, the Manics, Radiohead and Blur are four reasons why the 90s were good. Not a patch on the 60s and 70s though.

Big Pun is terrible lol.

Lil B the BasedGod is the best "rapper" because he's the rawest rapper alive. Other than that, you could put Cage, Tupac, Biggie, Busta (early days), and very few others up there on the list.

My top 10 favorite rappers and why:

10: Big Pun
Pun was one of the most flat-out fun rappers ever to spit a sixteen. He could go from party rap to street talk in the blink of an eye. But whatever he was talking about he always represented where he was from and what he was about.
9: Big Daddy Kane
The giant of old school hip-hop, Big Daddy Kane's smooth flow along with his humor and rhyming ability certify him as one of rap's living legends.
8: Eminem
At his peak, Eminem made some of the most original, funniest, and angriest songs in the history of art form. Vicious flows occasionally can't obscure the ferocious intellect seething just under the surface.
7: Scarface
Southern rap's scratchy voiced elder statesman, 'face can be hard as nails if he wants to but when he gets introspective, there's no one else on Earth who can express the things he can in a verse.
6: Ice Cube
The illest member of NWA, Cube was as talented with the group as he was when he went solo. He went from controversial to family friendly, but if you listen closely to his catalog, it’s clear that the business savvy always coexisted with the gangster stuff.
5: Notorious B.I.G
The black Frank White had more flows than anyone, was a storytelling genius and expressed paranoia and fear with the kind of precision that you can usually only find in great literature. A true American original.
4: Jay Z
The King of New York may have sullied his reputation with his recent output (BP3), but with a trio of classics and eleven number one (solo) albums under his belt, Jay Z still qualifies as one of the greatest MC’s of all time.
3: Rakim
He’s known as the God for a reason; no one does it like Rakim. The first of the truly great MC’s, he and Eric B made some of the most classic albums of all time together. Anything your favorite rapper does well, you can probably trace back to this guy.
2: Tupac
Thug poet. Thug Martyr. Introspective rider and sensitive gangster. Pac was built of contradictions, all of which only furthered his myth as one of the lost giants of the game. Pac may be the only rapper to be bigger than the culture itself.
1: Nas
The best pure writer the game has ever seen, Nas easily takes on the role of any and every character he attempts to inhabit. He first introduced himself on Illmatic as a poetic observer of the street but he’s evolved seamlessly from there, to Escobar the kingpin, to Nasir the Teacher, to Nasty the villain, and others, always able to sound comfortable while spitting the truth as he sees it. Intelligent but not pretentious, proud but open-minded without ever revealing a single weak spot in his flow, he made the best album and the best "make fun of" song of all time and changed the way we think about modern rap. Who said Esco lost?

This is a hard one for me. I only listen to rap so theres a few that come to mind. If we are talking the best, I would have to say, and a few people will flip out when I say this, but I am going to say for me personally, N.O.R.E.

Well if you like Eminem then you'd probably like the guy he stole his stuff from lol. Cage from the Weathermen is the REAL Slim Shady.
Quote
Chris Palko (born 1973), better known by his stage name Cage, is a American hip hop recording artist from Middletown, Orange County, New York. Cage is perhaps best known for his work under the labels Definitive Jux and Eastern Conference, as well as his 2002 debut studio album Movies for the Blind. Chris Palko was born in Würzburg, Germany, to American parents. His father was stationed on a West German military base as a member of the military police. Palko lived there until the age of four when his father was dishonorably discharged for selling and using heroin, and the family was sent back to the United States where they lived in Middletown, New York. His father would often force Palko to pull homemade tourniquets around his arm as he injected heroin. At the age of eight, Palko's father was arrested during a standoff with state troopers after threatening his family with a shotgun. By the time Palko was expelled from high school, his mother had remarried twice, and he was beaten by his stepfather Frank. Palko began using PCP, cocaine, LSD, cannabis and alcohol, and was sent to live with his uncle on a German military base, where he was beaten and sent home after a year.

Palko was arrested several times for drug possession and fighting in the streets. When he faced jail time for violating probation, his mother convinced the judge that he was mentally unstable, and he was sent to the Stony Lodge psychiatric hospital for a two week evaluation. He stayed in the hospital for sixteen months, where he was a part of a small group used to test fluoxetine, commonly used in Prozac. After being misdiagnosed and placed on the drug, he became suicidal and made several attempts to kill himself, including hanging himself with his shoelaces and saving his lithium dose for a month before ingesting all of them at once.

Most of the stories Eminem tell about "his" life are stolen from this man. Also Tupac and Biggie > Eminem BY MILES. And neither of them had to steal from anyone else.
