AMERICAN football all the way! I don't have to state a reason, because I think soccer sucks... I'm probably also the biggest female football fan you will ever know.

I watched a bit of the world cup and while it can be exciting, I just have to say I prefer American football by a wide margin.

I don't know about that.  My girlfriend gets pretty intense during a Michigan game. :P

But, I would agree with the majority.  Football all the way.  The only time I really ever watched soccer was during the olympics.  Football is much more exciting IMO.

I would be interested to know where you got this information....

Anyway even though im from England I prefer American football as it is closer to rugby (Englands version of american football).

I apologise to you. Quite frankly because the 2010 World Cup was one of the worst footballing tournaments ever.

However my vote has to be for football, or soccer as you yanks like to call it. Last week there were 41 goals, with one of the main title contenders throwing away a 4-0 lead and drawing 4-4, it saw the table topping team, who had been unbeaten in 29 games in the league, lose to the bottom side 2-1. I love its unpredictability and today Wayne Rooney scored potentially the greatest goal I will ever witness in the Manchester Derby which left me and 80,000 other United fans looking on at the Theatre of Dreams in absolute hysterics. This is why I will always love football (soccer). I suppose you guys will probably get the same rush of emotions when you see a man catch the ball in the "Endzone" as I do when I see Kenny Miller poke the ball in from a yard out for my country.

I would rather watch american football than soccer but I definitely love playing soccer over football.

American football makes my brain hurt.... seriously....

At least football is simple enough without 9999999 million different options of "plays" or whatever.

And yes I live in the UK, so I would be biased wouldn't I :P

I have to say that American Football is much better.  I've tried to watch it, but it falls behind hockey, baseball and college basketball for me.

It is above NASCAR and women's basketball though.  :)

Don't watch much soccer, but football seems to be a lot more manly (when the players aren't smacking eachother's asses)

I used to watch a little bit soccer when i was younger but now seems so f*cking dull to me now. Only thing i care for now is EC or WC. A few years ago i saw my first full Football (NFL) game and thought "This shit is awesome compared to soccer" or something... So yeah, being one of the few europeans that enjoy more watching football than soccer

Foosball....i mean Football isway better. The best the thing about it is if you dont like a certain person on the other team. You can tackle him or her as much you like.

I enjoy both American Football and Soccer. Though I must admit, I only enjoy College Football and with Soccer, I've a multitude of teams to enjoy, as more is going on. So, I'd have to give the edge to the latter.

Both...does that answer count? :P

I enjoy both of them, maybe soccer a little more, but that's because none of the sport channels here show American Football, the only time I can watch it is when there's a SuperBowl...I stay up until 3am to watch the match!

Love watching and playing soccer.
Love watching and playing football.

I've lived in Mexico and the States and probably prefer to play/watch whatever is on. The simple fact is that besides the world cup it is almost impossible to catch a good game in the states.

Fav. teams - Real Madrid, Detroit Lions.

I think there are some differences in passing and one other major difference. Rugby is usually played without protection.
